Veterinary Physiology & Biochemistry

Department of Veterinary Physiology & Biochemistry is one of the basic departments. The primary mandate of the department is to impart training to undergraduate (B.V.Sc. & A.H.)& Diploma (VLDD) students in the fields of general, experimental, and specialized areas of veterinary physiology and biochemistry. Physiology and Biochemistry are fundamental to an understanding of modern life science and all the students need to study these subjects as major subsidiaries to their main disciplines Veterinary and Animal Science. This department has established laboratories with sophisticated equipment for Electrocardiography; Hematology, Blood Biochemical Analysis, and Mineral Estimations. The ultra-modern types of equipment are used for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. M.R. College of Veterinary Science and Research Centre possesses state-of-the-art facilities for students including an Automatic Hematological Analyzer, Spectrophotometer, Viscometer, Urinometer, Meteorological instruments (Max and Min thermometer, Wind Vane, Flame Photometer, Paper Chromatography System, Fume-hood, Blood Chemistry Semi Auto-Analyzer, etc.)
