Veterinary Microbiology

The Department of Veterinary Microbiology has been created with the aim of identifying and controlling the infectious diseases of livestock through quality education. The practical training in department includes culture isolation, characterization of different micro-organisms and serological tests. The department is well equipped with all basic modern equipments including laminar flow, BOD, CO2 incubator, inverted microscope, immunoelectrophoresis apparatus etc. Modern equipments for teaching molecular techniques PCR,ELISA, blotting, refrigerated centrifuge, ultrasonicator are also available. There are three laboratories set up as per MSVE 2016 guidelines viz Virology, Immunology and Serology and Veterinary Bacteriology & Mycology laboratories.
