Veterinary Anatomy

Sound knowledge of anatomy and physiology is an essential basis for the effective clinical treatment of companion animals and farm animals alike. M.R. College of Veterinary Science and Research Centre provides comprehensive and detailed classes of anatomy and physiology of all the animals by the Department of Veterinary Anatomy. It has the sole purpose to make students acquainted with the form and structure of various animal species and to facilitate them to learn the basic concepts and fundamentals of veterinary anatomy and histology that serve as the foundation for the further veterinary education. To fulfil these criteria, the department has well-equipped anatomy labs which serve as the knowledge center for students to know the animals by various structures and skeletons of all sorts of animals. The embalming room has the facility for short long-term storage of dissected specimens and articulated and disarticulated skeletons of several livestock species.
