Message From The Advisor

Animal husbandry and veterinary sciences continue to be an integral part of human life since the start of civilization. India continues to be having largest population of livestock and the largest producer of milk in the world. Several measures have been initiated by the Government to increase the productivity of livestock, which has resulted in increasing milk production significantly but per animal head production of milk is much lower owing to poor genetic potential of livestock and inadequate health services. In spite of several schemes launched by the government, the availability of veterinarians in the country are much less than the desired number and needs to be increased in proportion to the existing and growing livestock population.
With the objective to overcome the deficiency of talented veterinarians,M.R. Education Society, Jhajjar, which has been providing quality education to rural children since 1993 has started new Veterinary College as MRCVS and RC in its premises in the year 2021 so that desired highly skilled and trained veterinarians and professionals are available to the livestock owners at their door step.

Being a skilled professional with over 35 years of teaching, research, extension and administrative experience in the field of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, I feel elated and honoured to be the advisor of management of M.R. Rural Educational Society, Jhajjar. Apart from having highly skilled, experienced and talented faculty with national and international exposure, the college is well equipped with modern infrastructure such as master class rooms, well equipped laboratories, lush green lawns, sports and extra-curricular facilities. These kind of facilities provide a comfortable learning environment and opportunity to graduating veterinarians to develop overall and specific skills and knowledge to face the challenges of competitive world.

I have served the LalaLajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Hisar over 34 years in different capacities such as Dean, Post-Graduate Studies, Dean, College of Dairy Science and Technology, Director Extension Education and Director of Veterinary Clinics. I hope my past experience as teacher, researcher, extension worker and administrator should go a long way in improving on-going quality veterinary education at M.R. College of Veterinary Science and Research Centre, Jajjar and producing world class professionalswith high professional competence and also transform this college in to a centre of excellence. I am sure, the concerted efforts of team of administrators, talented academicians along with para-veterinary staff at MRCVS and RC will help in producing highly skilled young veterinary professionals to cater the needs of poor livestock owners of the region. I wish all success to the MR Educational Society, Jhajjar during their endeavour ahead.
