Veterinary Medicine

Veterinary Medicine is an integral part of Veterinary Sciences. It deals with both the treatment and prevention of livestock and poultry diseases. The department is well equipped with modern diagnostic facilities like PCR, ELISA, Blood analyzer, Urine analyzer, Electrolyte analyzer etc. for effective teaching to undergraduate students. The department offers various courses such as General Medicine, Zoo and Wild Animal Medicine and also gives students insights to Veterinary Jurisprudence, Ethics and Animal Welfare. This department has laboratory facilities to conduct the academic programs in Clinical Medicine and Preventive Medicine as per the VCI guidelines. Department is also active in providing services to Veterinary Clinical Complex and Livestock Farm Complex of the college. Department of Veterinary Medicine is playing an important role in outreach activities like vaccination camps, animal health camps, farmer’s awareness camps etc. in rural areas.
